This tour is the perfect way to discover and discuss modern Irish history right up to the present day using public sculpture as a reference point. The nineteenth centuries saw “Statuemania’ thrive across Europe, particularly in the big cities such as Paris, London and Dublin.

The Forgotten Women of 1916 Rebellion

This tour tells the story of the women who took part in the Easter Week 1916 rebellion. Only one of them is truly remembered and commemorated by two statues in the city. The other 76 women have been largely forgotten and this tour aims to address that by taking you to the main locations.

Tour of Dublin City Art Galleries Highlights

The National Gallery on Merrion Square holds the Irish national collection of art. This tour takes you through the highlights of the national collection housed in the recently refurbished gallery that was originally founded in 1854, making it one of Europe’s earliest public art galleries.

Normal People Locations

This tour is for fans of the very popular TV series “Normal People”, which was written by the wonderful Irish writer Sally Rooney and directed by Oscar award winner Lenny Abrahamson. This tour has been specially designed with a special price for Secondary School Students and although it is not designed directly from the Leaving Certificate Curriculum it is suitable for students studying history of art for Leaving Certificate.
